I have 8 years of paid experience in childcare. My first experience was with the YMCA from 16-18 I have worked with the YMCA in several different positions such as Kindercamp with 4-6-year-olds and also infant experience working with infants as young as 6 months , Camp High Hopes with children who are less fortunate and who do not get to always get the experience of summer camp, Junior Counselor at my local Boys & Girls Club, Volunteering at Joy Prom which is a prom, especially for special needs children, Working with the state of North Carolina and tutoring children in Halifax county. I do have ample years of working with special needs children. My brother is special needs (autistic) and nonverbal with moderate to severe behaviors as well. I am comfortable working with children who are on the spectrum and children with behaviors. I like to work with parents to come up with a plan to best serve their children with behaviors.
