Powers Daycare helps children learn and develop by providing children a safe, loving, & fun place to be where they can grow emotionally, intellectually, physically, & socially. Play is a wonderful way to help children grow, learn, & develop the skills they need to function in society. It is my job to give children the best start possible so they can reach for the stars. We use the Creative Curriculum to plan for and support the early learning and development of children in our program. We use the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment to track achievements. Our program is unique because we use a "loose" structure meaning I allow for changes based on the wants and needs of the children. The kids and I work as a team. I provide care for my families during non-standard hours under certain conditions I have received my BA in Child Development, the MN Child Care Credential, CDA, have my National Accreditation through NAFCC, have my MA in Early Childhood Education, and have a 4 star rating in Parent Aware (highest rating). I was also in the top 10 for the Terri Lynne Lokoff/Tylenol National Child Care Teacher Award in 2016 (50 teachers throughout the US & military bases throughout the world are selected)
