Hi! My name is John Luis and I'm originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I studied Neuroscience at Princeton University and graduated 2 years ago. For part of my time at Princeton, I was a varsity (lacrosse) athlete, and spent most of my free time researching in a developmental neuromechanics lab.
I'm super knowledgable about developmental psychology and how to nurture the developing brain and body from a scientific perspective. On a personal level, I grew up with two younger brothers and spent several years during college babysitting for a local family. I absolutely loved this experience! I'm super flexible in terms of meeting your family's needs. I'd love to help tutor your kids, play sports with them, read to/with them, cook for them (I love to cook), take them on hikes/adventures, you name it.
Recently, I moved to Grass Valley with my girlfriend who joined a startup here. I'm looking for a babysitting job while I apply for masters/PhD programs (which won't start for another 1-2 years). I hope to become a psychologist and help improve the mental health of as many people as possible. I'm already an informal therapist to many people in my life, and would always be available to help your children work through any emotional difficulties that are facing while they're under my care.
