When I worked for Springfield Urban League my role was a teachers assistant. I watched kids from 8-3:30 helping them read,write, how to interact without students, made sure they were eating properly, and making sure they were safe. I know I did a really good job at it because parents would come to me all the time and tell me thank you for making sure my kid was safe and doing what he or she was supposed to be doing while I was gone.
